Keep a Pet Lobster

Keep a Pet Lobster

Lobsters can be kept as pets in freshwater tanks or in saltwater tanks. Lobsters need plenty of space as well as water temperatures that are cool enough to keep them happy. They also require plenty of good, nutritious food that can be bought from a pet store or can be out of your refrigerator at home. Keeping a pet lobster can be a rewarding experience if it is done correctly. Some people like to have lobsters to eat with fat rice. Still, it's better to just start and watch lobsters than to eat.

The best place to find pet lobsters is at a store that sells aquarium fish. You can keep wild lobsters, but it is much more difficult and sometimes not legal.

Lobsters need an environment with plenty of water that is changed regularly. They also like rocks for climbing but may eat other fish.

Feed your lobster shrimp pellets or flakes made for fish. Your lobster may also like fresh veggies from your refrigerator.
